Troubleshooting
If the Atntiv Chrome Extension isn’t working as expected, use this guide to fix the most common issues. Each section includes clear steps to resolve problems quickly.
1. Atntiv Doesn’t Appear in My Meeting
Make sure all of the following are true:
- You are using Google Chrome on desktop.
- You joined a meeting on:
- teams.microsoft.com
- teams.live.com
- Captions are turned ON.
- The extension is enabled in
chrome://extensions.
If captions are off, Atntiv cannot function — no text means no transcript.
2. Captions Are Not Appearing
- Click the “…” menu in Teams → enable Turn on live captions.
- Ensure the meeting language is supported by Teams captions.
- VPNs or corporate firewalls can block caption services.
Atntiv only works with Teams-generated caption text. No audio is processed.
3. Extension Stuck on “Connecting…”
- Your internet connection dropped temporarily.
- Your browser blocked requests to
api.atntiv.com. - The Atntiv backend is updating (rare, usually seconds).
Try:
- Refresh the meeting tab.
- Disable/enable the extension.
- Restart Chrome.
4. Extension Permissions Blocked
If Atntiv does not activate or stops working suddenly, Chrome may have blocked required permissions.
This usually happens after browser updates, profile changes, or corporate policies.

- The meeting must have active caption text.
- Your Atntiv account session may have expired.
- Your firewall/VPN may block outgoing API requests.
Refresh the dashboard or log out and back in. If the issue continues, send your meeting timestamp to team@atntiv.com.
6. How to Reload the Extension
If something feels stuck:
- Open
chrome://extensions - Find Atntiv
- Toggle OFF → then ON
- Rejoin the meeting
